Problem while deleting an IBC with soamanager

Good morning,

I have wrongly created an IBC in soamanger.

Just after creating it, when I try to delete it, it provides:

Operation 'DELETE' is not allowed for Receiver Type 'CLIENT' Name 'XXX/YYY'

How should I proceed to delete it?

Regards,

    Good morning,

You are getting this after on a system that has been refreshed.

Could you please provide the basis version of your system?

As I have not had efficient answer on my thread I have opened an incident.

SAP has solved the issue by setting an external break-point in method IF_SRT_WSP_IBC~DELETE

    of class CL_SRT_WSP_IBC.

But this could result in other inconsistencies. This must not be used as a general procedure.

Therefore the only clean way to solve this issue is to perform a reset with the report

    SRT_WSP_INITIALIZE_WS_CFG.

I am guessing that you are wondering the same thing as me:

What is going to be lost and what is going to be preserved as far as web services are concerned?

    SAP told me:

"If you reset the (web service) configuration, you will loose the web service configuration.

The web service configuration is what you create in SOAMANAGER.

You will of not loose any design time object. The service consumers and provider will remain in the system."

Our developers have agreed to perform this reset on our test system, next week, to see the side effects.

I have run it on a demo system. But I did not see any lost in soamanager for a specific web service.

Could you please also keep us informed of the side effects that you have noticed, if you run

    SRT_WSP_INITIALIZE_WS_CFG?

    Have a good day.

    Hi

Did you try deleting it in following way..

    se80 -> Workbench -> Edit object -> Enhanced Objects -> Enterprise Service -->

Here use the internal name of the Webservice Definition and press the delete button.

    Regards

    • Good mroning Prithviraj,

      Thanks for your information.

Unfortunately it does not solve my problem because I do not want to delete a webservice definition.

I would like to delete an IBC.
