How do I see more questions on a page

With the old SCN it was easy to see a lot of questions easily with the date as it was shown in a nice simple grid.

Now its spread out with huge amounts of white space- how can we see it in a more concise format ?

What tag should I use for this question ? Its a required field with no way of knowing what to enter other than randomly typing 3 chars... I've had to enter it under ASE for now.
