Hi All,
After upgrade to NW2004s
"Before Aggregation obsolete in NW2004s"
I read in some notes that you have to open the query in new analyzer and change the aggregation to exception aggregation and save, basically you have to migrate to new version.
My question:- if I use the old BEx 3.x and donot migrate the query to new version, will my CKF aggregation work the same way as, it used to work in 3.x. ?
I can always ignore the warning.
Thanks,
Dutta

Hi All,
In BI 7.0, when using queries with calculated Key figures... I get the warning "Time of Calculation'Before Aggregation' obsolete in NW2004s"
I read in some notes that you have to open the query in new analyzer and change the aggregation to exception aggregation and save, basically you have to migrate to new version.
My question:- if I use the old BEx Analyzer 3.x and donot migrate the query to new version, will my CKF aggregation work the same way as, it used to work in 3.x. ?
Can this warning be ignored ?
Thanks,
Dutta

It may work, not always though. Depending on your navigation the 'before aggregation' may be applied partially after aggregation and in some cases the results would not be as expected. This is what I experienced in similar situation and trying similar workaround.
If with this you are getting the right results and you have tried all possible navigations in your query, you can ignore this warning. It is ofcourse preferred to migrate and not have this warning/ambiguity at all.
Hi, All,
I have the same problem. How can I do with the exception aggreation for solve this problem?
Thanks.
