Hi Rakesh,

If you are just looking to include personnel subarea, you can add it through SPRO--> IMG--> Enterprise structure-->Definition-->Human Resource Management-->Personnel Subarea. After creating new personnel subarea then assign it to the respective personnel area.

But Before doing this understand the client's Enterprise and personnel structure, also org structure. If they are using Time and payroll then understand the ESG & PSA Groupings configuration to have clarity before proceeding.

HI Rakesh,

As per the requirement: you have to create new Personnel Sub area under Enterprise structure - Human resource Mgt - Personnel subarea (select the Personnel Area where it belongs to)

Pls do a analysis to what all process being run in the client system and the PSA configurations based on each process - ex : In Time - Work schedule, Wage type, time quota etc. Then you can check with the client on the necessary changes on the grouping code for PSA.

Schema, PCR which reflects based on PSA also has to be noted for Payroll. Same way check for PA, ESS, MSS etc.. and then give the details to client on what all you are going to change. Now you will get the idea and also its impact.

Thanks.

You're always asking for more details, but all depends on the current configuration of your system.

It would help you a lot if you would read some documents on configuration (through help.sap.com, or https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/Core+Area). Use the IMG (t-code = spro) and it's documentation to access the configuration nodes for Personnel Administration, Time Management and Payroll (for your Country).

Through t-code pe03, look at all Features that have been modified in your organisation, and look at them to see if the new PSA should be added in. If you execute Program RPCASC00 and expand all schemas and PCRs, first for Time Evaluation and then for Payroll Calculation, you will then be able to search for all occurrences of Operation OUTWP that query the PSA, then you'll have to see if the new PSA should be integrated in those PCRs.

Hi,

Personnel subarea will use in the following parts in time management, (it will be use for some grouping) therefore before defining personnel subarea and it's better to discuses about this with time / payroll department:

  • Group personnel subarea for work schedule
  • For time recording
  • Define holiday calendar
  • For absence and attendance
  • Time quota types
  • ....
  • Personnel subarea grouping for primary wage type

Regards,

Shirin
