Accessing custom apps deployed on SCP without Portal Service

Hi All,

We have a licensed version of SAP Cloud Platform . We have some custom UI5 apps developed in WebIde and deployed to our SCP . Now we can access them via the URL's generated while deploying to SCP.

However executing the apps through URL is not the best way considering we might have 50+ custom apps for 100 users. Considering that I know there is a PORTAL service in SCP which enables you to create your own launchpad and assign those apps to Tiles and assign the authorizations to users for each app.

However our licensed version of SCP does not include the Portal Service. So without Portal service , how are the users supposed to access 50+ apps . I am sure keeping 50 URLS bookmared will not be the solution.

Would appreciate if someone can throw some light on this

Thanks

Hi Amber,

You can write another UI5 application to organize the 50+ apps you are referring here.

The Portal Service is role base meaning you assign selected users to view particular apps.

Thanks,

Jin

Hi Jin,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

So basically we will need to write a UI5 application ourselves replicating the Fiori Launchpad to organize the apps.

But still as you see 100+ users accessing 50+ apps will be role based as per our requirement , since not all users should be having access to all the apps. So in that case I guess ,it can be only achieved using Portal Services , is that correct?

Thanks
