PO approval for a deleted line

Is it possible to reset the release when a line item is deleted in an open PO. This is a Biz requirement where the approver wants to notify/ release if a line item is deleted.

you can at any time reset the release in ME28 manually, automatically will SAP not reset a release if the total value decreases, which is the case when an item is deleted.

Just imagine you give you child 5 $ for shopping, and it comes back and has only spend 3$, would you then tell him to bring the goods back to the shop and ask prior for your permission to only shop for 3$ ?

Thanks Jurgen! thought to cross check if there is any customizing i am missing for this scenario.

I agree, the buyer should take a call for any deletion related and may not require someone to approve on top of it.

It answered my question.
