Add UWL iView below the Overview page in ESS..Please guide

Hello All,

I want to add the UWL iView at the bottom of Over-view page...but not like a Quick link but it should appear like the Overview page contains 2 iViews namely Overview iView & UWL iView.

(the detailed navigation should show only the Overview page)

Have tried the following steps...Please help me find the missing link here....

1. <b>Created a Resource</b> -> Resource Key = Z_UNIVERSAL_WORKLIST

2. <b>URL of PCD page</b> = ROLES://<pcd path to the UWL page>

3. <b>Created an area page</b> -> Area Key = Z_UNIVERSAL_WORKLIST & linked it to the above resource

Area Link Type = Call a Portal page (PCD)

4. <b>Created a service</b> -> Service Key = Z_UNIVERSAL_WORKLIST & linked it to the above resource

Area Link Type = Call a Portal page (PCD)

5. <b>Assigned the above area page to Area group pages</b>: (as shown in below table)

<b>Area Grp Key ==== Area Key ======= Position</b>

SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005 ====== Z_UNIVERSAL_WORKLIST ====== 2

SAPDEFAULTESS ======= Z_UNIVERSAL_WORKLIST ======== 2

Hi Ritu,

As a simple step you can directly add UWL iview in the existing Overview page of ESS. Go to Content provided by sap->Pages->Overview page. Just add the iview below existing iview.

Else, if you want to go through spro,

you need to create a new Area group page. You can copy the existing overview page to new pcd location, add your custom iview to it, create a new resource in spro for this new overview page, and create new group area page using this new resource.

You'll also need to add existing area's to this new group area page.
