Hi Victor,
Any idea why SAP has not come up a rapid installer for the Netweaver 2004s. It seems they have come up with an installer for everything else but the I5/OS systems.
thanks,
Greg
Rapid Installer is only available for Windows, Linux and Solaris (+ Oracle).

There is now a rapid installation of SAP on System i. It is called KOBI project tape image. What happens is that the System i developer team in Walldorf installs SAP in their machine and save the entire systsem into a tape media and send it to the implementor for use. All i5/OS PTFs and SAP Kernel patches are also applied to the most update level for you.
I just used two KOBI tapes (one for PRD, the other for DEV+QAS) to restore for my customer last week and it worked fine. Contact your local IBM System i unit on this.
