how to transfer material classification features from SAP ERP to ME

Hello,

for our project we have to transfer the material classification features from sap erp to sap me. Due to the fact that some classification features in ERP are based on a numeric value it only transfers the number to ME and not the corresponding text/description for it.

For example in ERP we have the material characeristic "raw material". The value for this characteristic is "02" and the corresponding description for this number is "aluminium".

The problem is that in ME in the custom field of the material maintenance there only appears 02 instead of aluminium.

It also generates two IDocs (MATMAS05 and CLFMAS02).

How can I transfer not only the numeric value but also the descripiton for this value from ERP to ME?
