262 movement clarification

hi thr ,

we have created production order for order qty 2.and prodn order no is say: 0001.

and we have issued the raw material required for the same order.

the production order statuc is now REL.

now the same Production order is cancelled then we have to return the goods issued for the order again to the store by 262 movement.

say we have carried out the 262 movement type and issued qty for the order is taken back.(reversal).

next time for the same order if i reverse the s0me more qty again for the order by 262 movement.then the qty will increase in stock , and it is not restricting the same .

what shud be done in the same scenarion ?

When you do a 262 mvmwt with reference to the order ( cancel with reference then the original Gi qty done with a 261 mvmt shows up on the screen and you can reverese that accordingly. If you do a 262 mvmt by just entering an order# then you can reverse any qty. This is std SAP beahviour. there is no way aroud this- except enforce business pratices and run varaince reports and anaylse them.

Ajay,

Once the 262 movement was done,you can reverse the total amount of material.Once you have reveresed,you can't use the same production order for the next time.
