Enable System --> List--> Save -->Local File option in ECC6

Hi Friends,

When I try to transfer SU53 data to text file or some other format I am unable to do it. Because the "Local File" option is disable and '%PC' also not working. Please help me out to get rid of this.

Sri.

Hi Sri,

Im sure this was available in older releases of R/3 but it seems it is not available now, im not sure of the reason for this.

However i guess the real question is why you wish to store this info, and if it is only needed temporarily then can you use a Print Screen?

Hi Ashley,

In the print screen we won't get full details in one screen shot. If the output is too we need to take 'n' number of screen shots..

Hi Sri,

This is true, but i come back to my question why you need this data, the main authorization failure is at the top of the screen. The rest of the information is the user buffer contents, this is available in many other ways and is probably not required anyway?

Hi Ashley,

I need that data for analysis. Moreover screen shot is consuming more size instead of text file. Through mails only I can communicate with end users. That's the reason I am insisting on "Local File".

Sridhar,

Hit the print button then goto menu: system->list->save. The system list save on the standard screen has been removed in newer versions.

I think that button was last seen in R/3 (pre-WAS) ?

That button is in some ECC versions depending on the patch level. However I'm still not sure why the print button is not there.

Interesting, i don't understand why SAP have even messed with that, SU53 always did its job, perhaps you could add more info like in ECC etc but i don't think taking away or moving features is the best strategy they could have used.

Please have a look at some current notes about the SU53 which deal with printing issues, too:

Hi Frank,

So the "meat on the bone" is that the user cannot "unknowingly" evaluate which authorization values they do have, by "knowingly" invoking an authority-check on a value which they do not have? Thank you for that!

Regarding wanting to locally save displayed values, Ctrl + Y ---> mark the area -> Ctrl + C should still be possible as a work-around to copy & paste the data to txt etc. <-- Nope!

Cheers,

Julius
