SAP B1 DEPRECIATION START DATE

Hi Experts,

I need help on Fixed Assets Depreciation Start Date, please see below:

• Capitalization Date: April 1, 2016
• Depreciation Start Date: May 1, 2017

Depreciation Start Date should be April 1, 2017, however, the Depreciation Start Date is grayed thus, cannot be modified. Please advise the best and fastest way of correction.Thank you very much in advance.

For clarification, this scenario is on the new data base, there was an old data base where the Fixed Assets were already depreciated and I am currently working on the new data base. Tried to remove and re-enter the items but the system does not allow me, prompting me message as it cannot be removed due to existing linked transaction. Upon checking, the only transaction related to the items are their capitalization. Please help, thank you.
