Client takes more than 120 seconds connecting to server

Any ideas?

Could the creation of a new Data Source (ODBC) help?

Versions:

- SB1 2005 SP01 PL 16

- MS Windows Server 2003 R2 (Standar Edition) SP1

Have you got multiple network cards in the license server? There is a known issue with this where the application has to wait for a reply or a timeout from each network card.

If this is the case and you try disabling one of the network cards does the issue go away?

VMWare was installed on the server. This software creates two virtual network cards. After unistalling VMWARE the problem is solved.

is server local or remote?

are you connecting via terminal server or vpn?

are there multiple nics? are there multiple domains?

how long does it take to log in from server itself?

- Server is local.

- Connecting via LAN

- Only a domain

- From the server takes only a few seconds

All computers are new with XP and 2003 Server (32 bits)
