What is transport system? How is system transport to one sys. To another sys.

HI Ramu,

In real environment, we don't have access to modiffy directly in production system.

There is a process for modify any config in production. Whatever changes you want to done in production, first you need to done in Development server. Then you can send that changes to Quality server. There you will test all the changes. Once you feel its fine, then you can send that changes to production. Sending this changes will be done using transports.

Every change you done in Development will capture in a request. We called it as a transport request. Once you finish your change and capture that in request, you will release it in SE09 or SE10 and send that information to your Basis person to transport that request to next server (Quality server). When he transport this request to quality server, all the changes will be done in Quality according to your request. Once you test there in quality, if you feel happy with the changes, then you will request your Basis person to transport the same request to Production system.

In real time business they must maintain 3 server i.e. Development,Quality, Production.

any new development will be done in Development server, when the create transport request the same trasnport request can be transfer to QA, PRD.

Basis peoplewill do that process.

SE10 u can view the transports.
