create materail default values

i want to add some control in the material creation process mm01.

we can determine a field must be filled obligatory or a field is invisible in mm01 due to the material type or plant from customizing.

however i want to assign default values when i open the mm01 screen tabs. for example i want the "base unit of measure field" come "inch" default when i create the material as raw material type

also i want to create relation between the fields. for example if i select the "material gorup" as "01", i want the program assign a value "AA" to division field automatically or give an error message if i select an unwanted value.

Is there anything about this issues in customizing or should write a user exit or sth like that

you can create ur own variant and assign this variant to a new TCode "Zmm01".

use transaction SHD0 to create varaint and SE93 to create ur own Tcode .
