Hello all,
I know there are a lot of threads concerning SAP exception messages 10. I've looked so far and I haven't found one pertaining to my situation. My apologies if I'm posting something that already exists.
I know we have various configurations so I'm giving as much details about this scenario. I have a material with the following characteristics:
Material Characteristics:
Procurement Type- F
MRP Type- PD
Planned Delivery Time - 60 days
GR processing TIme- 10 days
Rounding value - 12
Individual/co- 1
Planning Calendar- 3rd wednesday of the month
Lot zise- ER period lot size according to company planning calendar.
Plant Configuration(Not using MRP group for any of these)
Planning Horizon- 100
Rescheduling Horizon- 100
Tolerance Value forward -2
Tolerance value for displacement- 2
I have a PO out in my testing client with 5 lines to meet each requirement of 12 each but the 5th line will not meet the requirement date of 06/06/2018 when balance on hand comes to zero. On 06/19/2018, the 5th PO line comes in. When MRP runs, it create a PR with a quantity of 3 and put the exception 26 on the 5th PO line with any excess of 3.
Here is my question: Why don't I get an exception message of 10 to move up the last line of the PO instead of a PR of 3? I have tried changing all the above values to 0 but this material will not give me a 10 exception. I either get a 26 or a 15- never a 10.
Sorry this is my first time actually digging this far into PP so i might be missing some important information. I attached MD05 displays. Let me know if i need to attach more screenshots.

If the requirment falls after the recipets then you will get the excpetion message '10'
Where if the requirement falls before the recipts then it will diplay excpetion message '15'.. Notthin to do with your material master setup.

I understand you get exception message 15 when your receipt is before the requirement date and 10 when the requirement date is before the receipt but in this test case, I can only get a 15, I cannot seem to get a exception 10 message even after moving the receipt date to just after the requirement date. Instead, a PR is created, I do not get exception 10 to move up the PO.
