SRM MDM Catalog --Login error

Hi

I have followed the instructions in the Configuration Guide for MDM Catalog to configure the catalog. However, when i click on the link for the catalog in SRM, I am getting a Login Failed error.

Anybody knows what this means?

Catalog names are case sensitive.

Hi,

User name and password mainatined in MDM console is case sensitive.I would suggest you to follow this step

1.In MDM Console for User1 enter password as user1(note that password is all small case)

2.Ensure that you enter the password in similar manner in defining OCI.

Hello Ram,

Login Failed error means username or password or Repository name is wrong. Or the repository is not loaded. OCI parameter should be like this.

0 http://<J2EEhost.domain>:<J2EEport>/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM

10 username User1

20 password <blank>

30 server <MDM Server>

40 port <Repositiry port>

50 catalog <Repository name>

60 uilanguage SY-LANGU

70 datalanguage SY-LANGU

90 named search <blank>

Check the SAP Note 967088 and download the configuration guide.

Thanks for the info. I used the same config guide and parameters. But your answer prompted me to think if the catalog name was case sensitive and it infact was.

Hi Masa,

I have configured the SRM-MDM Catalog and I had done Import data, mapping data, OCI, SRM call structure and UI settings. Everything works fine when we call the Catalog in SRM.

My SRM -MDM Catalog needs certain custom fields which should hold some Button indicator for item classification (Red, Amber, and Green)

Already we used MDMSRM_IMAGE field to have pictures of Item and mapped in Display view in UI manager.

I tried one more custom field for the Image to hold this buttons (.gif file) but unfortunately it is not bringing the indictor images, just place holder is exist without indicator image.

Could you please help me and give some work around solution to bring that Button Indicator in My Catalog view for each item.

Please light up something on TEXT HTML, TEXT BLOCK, HYPERLINK and mime type

Is it possible to have the .gif Image by using above functionality? If so please guide mates.
