hi this is vinod,

the basic difference between templet n table is

templet used to hold static data because the number of rows n columns r fixed

tables used to hold dynamic data because it is more flexible we can increase the number of rows n columns n we can increase the sizes also where as it is not possible in case of templete;

if this is helpful fr u please reward the points

Hi,

Template : It is a static entity i.e. its dimensions can not be changed at run time.

Table : It is a dynamic entity i.e. its dimensions can be changed at run time. Hence, based on the data, it can last from one page to multiple pages. Hence, for line item display, normally table is used because you won't be knowing about the number of line items and no of pages.

Reward points if the answer is helpful.

Hi Sandeep,

Both the Templates and Tables can be used for printing texts or application data in tabular format in Smartforms.

Templates: Templates are used in layouts when the number of rows are known and fixed.

Tables: Tables are used to print dynamic data, where the number of rows cannot be determined in advance.

Hope this helps.

Please reward if useful.

Thanks,
