Hi All,

I'm trying to schedule the HANA procedure using XSjob with "immediate run". For that i need to define the XSCRON parameter. Can you please tell me the correct way for the Immediate run expression of XSCRON. It should be immediate run and no repeat.

Thanks,

Anurag

here is the documentation - look at step 4

https://help.sap.com/viewer/d89d4595fae647eabc14002c0340a999/2.0.00/en-US/6215446213334d9fa96c662c18fb66f7.html

however, my question to you is... if you need to do this as a one time deal - why not just call the stored procedure? scheduled jobs are (per their name) a repeated task that would execute on an interval...

so to call one time....

call <procName>( ) ; -- pass any input params inside the parenthesis

Hi Sergio,

Thanks for your reply.

So I already did by calling stored procedure directly with XSJS but the procedure is taking long to execute(almost 15-20 minutes because of calculations and amount of data) so GET request if getting failed by error message the execution of the script has exceeded the maximum request runtime because $.hdb API keeps waiting for the response until the script finishes.

So I thought by going this way using xsjob file and if possible scheduling it in background with immediate run and no repeat.

Thanks,

Anurag

I am not going with the XSjob functionality now as XSJS load procedure is working. I changed my logic and I'm not waiting for the GET request to be finished now.

Also the procedure was related to the loading of the transaction data which was taking expected time to trigger.

Thanks for the help.
