HTTP POST

Hi All,

When I'm sending an xml to an HTTP url in XI, I am getting a negative response. However when I send the same data using the tool WFetch (Verb: <b>POST</b>), transfer is successful.

(Note: if i use the Verb: <b>GET</b> in WFetch, i get the same response as that in XI)

Since HTTP adapter of XI supports only the POST method, can anyone please advise on what possibly could be the problem?

Hi Sindy,

What response are you getting? I'm assuming this is an HTTP adapter or is it a SOAP adapter you are using?

Hi John,

Thanks for your help. But we found out the problem. The Compression was 'Active' in the RFC destination (encrypting the data being sent). Thus a negative response was sent back since the target system could not understand the message.
