I'm looking for experience in setting up the Hana Express 2.0 (in my case running inside a VM on a Windows laptop) so that the Express' built-in web server allows HTTP request to be forwarded to PHP scripts.

I'm hoping for hints related to questions such as:

- is it possible at all?

- does Hana built-in web server has PHP module support or does it require usage of CGI instead?

- if CGI must be used, how do you set it up?

- does PHP need to be installed/configured on the SUSE Linux running inside the VM or is it possible to setup XSA (XS Advanced) to be able to use PHP for server-side scripting (same way as it can use nodes.js for server-side scripting)

Since HANA 2.0 SPS02 (available also already as HXE) you can create a PHP buildpack for XS Advanced. You can follow the steps described at Create a PHP Buildpack for XS Advanced.
