EWM-PP PI Integration

Hello,

SAP supports two processes for EWM Production Integration.

Option 1: Production Integration (involving inbound and outbound deliveries)

Option 2: Production Integration Advanced (involving EPR and EGR processes).

Can both of these options co exist? My client has implemented option 1 for a specific process industry scenario. Now also want to use option 2 for other scenarios.

Is it possible to use both options in one system?

2> Production Integration Advanced

Staging >> In Control cycle, Staging Indicator must be EWM Staging Which will generate PMR( Production Material Request also use for consumption ) .

Receipts +>> You can use both EPR/EGR and Production/Process order Confirmation or Manual post ( Inbound delivery in EWM ) from ECC.

Consumption ->> You can post consumption from EWM as well as ECC ( that is Outbound delivery, for update the consumption in PMR, you need do to setting( IMG->SCM Extended Warehouse Management->Extended Warehouse Management->Goods Issue Process->Outbound Delivery->Production Supply->Post Goods Issue for Consumption Posting( Parameter is UPD PMR which will update according to reservation , need to add reservation as ref doc ,Please check the F1 help for that parameter )

Benefit : Staging,Receipts and Consumption can run in EWM after Production/Process order release from ECC .

Can both of these options co exist? -> Yes,but Production Integration Advanced will be available in version( >= EWM 9.2 ).

Is it possible to use both options in one system? As per my knowledge,only Staging will be the difference. PMR in Adv Prod Int. which is outbound delivery/posting change in production integration.Receipts and Consumption can be the same.->Please check the link for more details Advanced Production Integration.

Thanks, Ajit... We will have latest EWM version. Doubt we have is that, Delivery based integration is already in place that is Outbound Delivery for Staging ( triggers at order release) and Inbound Del for GR ( Triggers at order confirmation) , now If we activate PMR based integration for a specific storage location, both processes should not conflict. We plan to test this in the system soon, however, the client wants to know the impact before hand.

Hi Prashant,

Staging will be the only difference.

"Delivery based integration is already in place that is Outbound Delivery for Staging ( triggers at order release)" - you need a new control cycle ( Plant+PSA( New ) +Material-optional ) for PMR ( Staging -EWM Staging ). PSA assign to Production Work center or material...etc.
