Dear Experts,

Stock of a Material X is showing in MB52 in plant Y in a particular storage location ''CS11''. But while creating PR for that Material through CJ20N in a particular plant in the same Storage Location, system is throwing the Error "Storage Location CS11 not found for Material X in Plant Y''.

I have checked in MMSC/MARD. The Material is not extended to that Storage Location in that Plant. Then how come that stock exists there. Can u answer my query.

Such questions deserve a screenshot.

It is probably special stock and special stock is not stored in MARD.

Hi Jurgen,

Screenshot attached. Yes it is Project Stock. But if the Material is not extended to that storage location then how come stock exists there.

they do not exists "there" -

"there" is your material master and table MARD, which is used for warehouse stock,

but your stock is special stock, which is stored in QBEW or MSPR (depending whether it is valuated project stock or non-valuated)

Yes...stock is w.r.t Project at storage Location CS11. And is is showing in MSPR. But then when I am raising PR from CJ20N under CS11 Storage Location, why system is throwing error message saying ''Storage Location CS11 not found for Material X in Plant Y". If it is not extended in CS11 Storage Location, then how come stock exists in CS11 Location.

I have resolved the issue by extending storage location in MMSC. But my query is if the Material is not extended to Storage Location, then how come project stock exists under CS11 Storage Location.

What is a PR?

If you want to use your project stock, then you have to enter somewhere the special stock indicator

If you want use neutral stock then you have to extend your material master.

SAP does not check on MARD table if it has to add stock to MSPR table, this has no logic at all.

Do you look how big your neighbors garage is if you want to park your new car in your own garage?

PR is Pruchase Requisition.

In the subject you wrote about problems with goods issue. So I could not know how a purchase requisition could have any relation.
