Standard components provided by NW

Hi Guru,

I'm having project on implementing workflow as an additional part of currently used R/3 v4.7. Moreover, interactive form (eForm) from Adobe will be part of this implementation project. This require NW to be installed.

Question: Based on NW platform, which standard components do NW provided? Do NW provide SAP XI and BPM engine as parts of standard components?

Hi,

You get most of SAP NetWeaver with your SAP R/3 or SAP ERP software - usually the version that is needed to run your ERP release. In addition you can order the latest SAP NetWeaver release software at any time.

For more information about what is in each release, I suggest you check out the SAP NetWeaver master guides (http://service.sap.com/instguides)

The big question is what are you licensed to use. Some parts of SAP NetWeaver require additional licensing and you should talk to your SAP Account executive to see what you have licenses for. Typically SAP R/3 or SAP ERP includes the SAP NetWeaver licenses to run its functionality. There is additional licensing needs for integrating with non-SAP systems for example.
