Hello all,
We are using the value driven tree capability in the BW-CPM,
After defining all the needed BPS and VDT definitions we encounter a problem while displaying the tree;
The error message is "Overlapping characteristics values were maintained for characteristic 'Unit of measure'.
We are using BW 3.5, and as a KF in the transactional cube we are using the 0Quantity.
Does someone have a direction what it might result from?
Thank you very much,
have a great week,
Yair Leshem
Can you restrict the UOM un BPS level to a single value and try again.

Hi All,
Solution desc. -
For all those who will encounter the problem,
The problem was that when you define a measure of type 0Quantity you have to define the unit of measure (Such as %) in the measure level, You can't do that in the BPS planing level.
Thank you very much for your help,
Yair

That is not normal.
Did you check the box in the level to indocate that selection for UOM will be made in package? Remove that and make your selections in the level and try again.

Hi Ravi,
Thank you for trying, But it dosn't help.
On the documentation, The instructions are not to do a selection for the characteristic 'Unit of measure', You have to define it as 'Selection in package'.
Anyway, While you select it in the planing level there is an error that 'No selection conditions can be entered for characteristic 0Unit.
Thank you,
Yair
