Hi,

We started using the @variable('DOCID') in our connections for WEBI reports. It works fine.

But when we are in the Universe Design Tool, we got a connection error when we do some specific actions related to the database (adding a table, checking the structure, etc.).

It seems that the variable DOCID (introduced in 4.0) is not supported in Universe Design Tool (4.1 sp5).

I tried to look at other versions patch notes but cant find any on the SAP platform.

Olivier

Can we add few error screens so that we can help you better. In my understanding the object with @variable('DOCID') works fine in WebI and you are unable to parse the same object in UDT. Is that right?

Sorry for the delay. Getting some screenshots outside the company prove to be difficult because of strong security policies. :)

So yes, we use the @variable('DOCID') on the connection with BEGIN_SQL. It works perfectly fine.

But when we try to use the same connection in UDT to, for example, bring a new table, we got this message :

So, for now as a workaround, we use the variable only on our production environment.
