How do we convert data from ASCII to EBCDIC in file reciever

Hi,

I am working with Idoc to File Scenario.

I need to send a file to mainframe system, where i need to convert the data to EBCDIC format.

Please advise me on this

Do we need to write something in File Encodinf field.

    Yes. Try the value 037 in File Encoding field

    now that a thread like this is going, I was wondering... How many different types of EBCDIC encoding are there and what are their corresponding values for input in the file adapter? I assume there's a link for this?

    Also, the link you gave earlier handles packed binary outside of XI, if you use java mapping you can do packed binary in the mapping step.
