IDM 8 and Reports

Hello everyone,

Just wondering has anyone done custom reporting in IDM 8? If so any guides or tips? I see there's an old 7.x (specifically 7.1) document but I'm hoping for something more up-to-date. 🙂

Hello Matt,

I'm still using csv-files for reporting for my 7.2. ^^ Hopefully we'll have BW reporting next year.

Isn't there a BW IDM report package yet for 8.0? Or do you mean the reporting with its own entry type (I played around with that in 7.2, but it was kind of meh)? I remember the crystal reports documentation, but that's not even supported for 7.2 anymore.

I've done reporting in a number of ways in the past, however I have a requirement to do something with the "View Reports" button.

Hello Matt,

I have developed several HTML reporting in SAP IDM 8.0, however, most of them have been developed without using Report tab. Working on Standard reporting using report tab now and will try to write a blog here once I am done.

If you could share what you are looking now then maybe I can answer now.

Has anyone updated the documentation on how to create reports using the entry type in IDM 8? I see the version for 7.1 and 7.2 which is very different than 8. If you are new to IdM the 7.2 documentaton is NOT adequate.

Hi Matt,

can you please elaborate your query.

For one my client, we have created schedule jobs which generates report is .csv, .html, .txt formats and made available for users to access the following reports

1. Reconciliations reports

- Users available in IDM but not in Target system

- Users not in idm but in target system

- privileges assigned to user in idm but not in target system

- privileges assigned to user in target system but not in idm

2. Export of Identities details for each opco and roles assigned to users

3. Export of roles,privileges mapped to the roles based on the role owners or approvers

4. Export of users list who didnt whose last logon date is grated than 90 days.

Hey DP,

how do you make those files available? Via a fileshare or in IDM via the Reports tab or something similar?
