we found that truncating tables SOSC(containing waiting status entries) and SOES(containing error/sent entries) cleared all the queues in the SOST tcode. There are other tables related to this tcode which we are not sure makes any sense to truncate those such as DDLOG – Log table SOST – Log table USR05 – Contains user list. SPERS_OBJ - SAP Personalization object repository Table.

    • Hi Santhosh,

You should be extremely careful with truncating tables if you are not absolutely certain of how they relate to each other. For instance, DDLOG and USR05 are used by many applications and transaction codes, for numerous functions. There are times when it makes sense to clear DDLOG -- on the target system after a system copy, for instance -- but otherwise you would be best served by leaving it alone.

So was your question really about how to clear old queue entries in SOST, rather than how to find what tables the tcode referenced?
