This data source is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations

Former Member

This data source is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations.
I am trying to create a multisource datafoundation using two relational connections build on Sql anywhere database (ODBC connection).

These connections are working fine for single source datafoundation but when I try to make multi source data foundation the connections are grayed out.

I went through some SAP notes and Questions but could not find any solution.

I did assign host name and port number according to a note but did not help.

I did create a separate APS for Data federator service but did not help.

I checked with a connection based on JDBC. I was able to select it . It was working fine. It was not grayed out.

Kindly guide me what could be the issue?
Is it because of sql anywhere database? Is it because of odbc ? or any other reason.

I will appreciate your response.

Have you checked Supported platforms guide - semantic layer attachment ?

Yes , I did check it. SAP is supporting Sql anywhere for both Single source and multi source universe. It supports both odbc and jdbc connections.

Although I followed the guide for making multi source universe but still if you please describe the process again for re confirmation.

Thank You

If your SQL Anywhere is of correct version, then something is not right and you'll need to open an Incident with SAP under Semantic layer component.

A connection built on jdbc is not grayed out as I mentioned. But the one with odbc is grayed out. Where are the secured connections stored? Can you let me know the path to secured connections in SAP Bo system?

Secure connections are stored in Repository (CMS DB)
