How to map 0CALWEEK 0CALMONTH 0CALYEAR in BI 7.0 transformation

Dear all,

Could you please tell me on how to map 0CALWEEK, 0CALMONTH, 0CALYEAR in BI 7.0 transformation ?

Scenario : I have a datasource which delivers WL_ITEM_DATE (date) field which can be mapped to 0CALDAY in the transformation.

I have other time characteristics like 0CALWEEK, 0CALMONTH and 0CALYEAR to be mapped. I am sure, they have to be mapped only based on the available date field.

Please guide me on how to achieve this.

Thanks

Karthik

Hi,

You can drag and drop as many times as needed the same field.

This means that WL_ITEM_DATE can update all the time characteristics that you have in the target.

Thanks a lot Laurent,

In this case, should I use "DATE_TO_WEEK( WL_ITEM_DATE )" function module to map WL_ITEM_DATE to 0CALWEEK ?

and similarly to 0CALMONTH and 0CALYEAR ??

Hi Karthik,

Not at all, SAP will convert automatically the date to the week / month / quarter...

Hi karthik,

You can do the mapping from WL_ITEM_DATE to any of the SAP defined date feilds. The system will genarate the values from this date feild in the datasource (WL_ITEM_DATE ) to any of the SAP defined date fields which you are using in your data targets. like OCALWEEK, 0CALYEAR.

HOPE THIS HELPS

cheers

Sunil

Guys, this works !!!

I have mapped WL_ITEM_DATE field to all the available time characteristics (date, week, month, year) and the values are automatically converted.

Well, thank you so much for your time and valuable reply.

Thanks
