Hi all,
How can i make use of temporary data storage during loading?
How can i activate this facility in BI ? now we are on SP13.
Thanks,
Hi Githen,
The temporary storage is used at runtime to allow processes to be restarted without a significant impact on performance when errors occur. It also allows you to find records with errors. Unlike on the source level, this is only possible if, under Level of Detail, you have set Trace of Erroneous Records or Trace of Transformation by Records.
You can display the temporary storage for each of the processing steps using the monitor for the data transfer process request by choosing the pushbutton in the Data column. The records with errors can be identified by the symbol.
In data transfer process maintenance, you can specify when the temporary storage is to be deleted. This can be done either after the request has been updated successfully to the target, when the request is deleted, or after a specific interval has passed since the request was processed
Check out this thread,
Regards,
Mani

Githen,
I dont think so if you are Bi 7.0 you need to install any patch.
You need to activate temp storage by going to menu at top of your screen..
Go to -> Setting for temp storage -> determine the level of detail tht hosuld be stored..
Also note you can NOT edit records here - its just for analysing records..you need to use Error stack by using Error DTp to edit records..
temp storage is to re reun the process in case of errors and you can view all records which happen for tht instance of DTP request..
You also hve optiones to delete req there only.
Hope it helps
Let m eknow in case yu hve questions
Thanks for points assigned
