Notification to the client

Hi Experts,

Could you please tell me, what all necessary things needs to be done..If we do Hot-fix/urgent releases during business days for the project(When client can interact with the site/etc)?

Some points from my side


1. All the Sender and receiver adapters needs to deactived.

2. Setup the error page with the error description with downtimes for the client

3. ?

4. ?

    i would like add

    1. Take the backup first of the previous development. (i think it is necessary)

      Hi Sara,

      The downtime of the service will depend on how minor or major was the bug, usually we have to first do it on development right?

      Anyways if we know exactly where to fix it. The downtime would more or less 4-5 man hours. It also depends as to when the client uses the services. In some case suppose in one of the case i am working, the services of xi will extensively used during the night and early morning time so in this case i can easily have the time in the day.

      I hope i am adding some informative stuff, hope its not out of the thread subject
