Generation of Employee Number

Hi Experts.

We have 2 employee groups, Permanent and Contractual. When Permanent employee group is hired, employee number should be generated from 00100000 series and when Contractual employee group is hired, number range should start from 00400000. I have maintained the number ranges in SNRO and maintained the feature NUMKR as well, but when i execute PA40 and hire a permanent employee, the personnel number is generated starting from 004. Which point am I missing?

Hello,

Please check NUMKR Feature, whether it is done for both numbers ranges or not.

Two points to be considered here,

1.Defaulting of Number Ranges is done at company code level or not.

2.Both number ranges should have two different return codes/values.
