Dual stack IDOC receiver retry times and interval

Hi Experts,

How to configure the retry times and retry interval for IDOC receiver in dual stack. Also the configured IDOC channels are not available in channel monitor.

Hello Ahmed,
According to your last sentence, as far as I understand, you configure scenario using IDoc_AAE adapter. Isn't it?
In this case the number of maximum retries for message processing is defined by configuration of Restart job in Adapter Engine. Particularly, by setting the value of MAX-RESTART property. You can find more information regarding that in SAP Note 2338961.

Regarding the second question - it is not exactly clear whether you activated the channels in Integration Directory?

Hi Vadym,

The adapter is IDOC only(dual stack) and not IDOC_AAE. Also the issue is in production where all the channels are activated and running. How to configure or check the retry times and interval for this IDOC adapter how we have in IDOC_AAE in communication channel monitor=>configuration tab.

Hello Farooq,
Thanks for confirmation. If the message is being processed in Integration Engine, then RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES report should be scheduled in the system. Depends on the stack version there could be 2 controllable parameters that define the maximum number of message restart (as per SAP Note 1538437):

• prior to 640 SP17 or 700 SP8:
  Apply SAP Note 786905. Set IS configuration parameter DELETION MAX_VERSION BATCH_RETRY to a lower number. By default, this report tries to restart failed XI messages up to 800 times.
• higher than 640 SP17 or 700 SP8, but lower than 71x:
  Apply SAP Note 938128. Add field "Manual Retry Counter" directly into selection interface of the report RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES.
• higher than 71x:
  The field "Manual Retry Counter" is by default contained in selection of report RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES.
