Pocket Calculation in BPC

Hello,

Is it possible to do pocket calculations using EPM. I know it can be done with Business Objects as a front end however without BO?

I want to all the use to alter a cell with something other than an absolute value. So increase cell by 10 or multiply cell contents by 5

I am unable to understand your requirements! Please provide some sample scenario...

What BPC version are you talking about?

    Hi Vadim,

I like the approach. How however can you ensure that the User Input area dynamically reflects the report. In other words I would expect that the "Input form will" easily be made a copy of the report however how does this come about with the "User Input Area"?

    Hi Vadim,

In the planning process the user may wish to alter the Planned FTE. Normally in BPC this is done as an absolute value.

As we are planning at account level the total number of FTEs could be say 20 ( across the account ). The user may wish to change this to 21 however they wish to achieve this change by simply adding +1, not entering 21. Another example is that they wish to alter the value by a %. Say increase by 20%.

So I guess I need something to allow the user to enter a calculation - eg +3, or *5 in the cell.

    OK, more or less clear!

You may use 1 report and one input form for the same scope!

Also you will use some range in Excel for data input (out of the space of report and input form):

Report and Input form can be hidden!
