Hi

SWU3 is a transaction that is used to maintain Automatic Workflow Customizing. Please make sure that all the Four Options are marked with a green Tick. This is generally maintained by the Basis team. This is very important for a Workflow to work perfectly.

 If many of the base workflow items are not configured, you can run the <Auto-customize> button. This step will automatically complete configuration such as:

 Creating a WF-BATCH background user id with SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW (SU01)

 Creating a logical RFC destination WORKFLOW_LOCAL_xxx (xxx=client) for the client (SM59)

 Check to see if the HR-PD T77* tables have been loaded. If the red lights are still on, run program RHSOBJCH, mark all entries and update selection.

Then rerun the program. The entries should have disappeared. Check SWU3 again. (SAP Note 60801)

 If the HR Plan Version has not been configured, it will be define the standard plan version of 01.

 Activate that HR objects can be used as recipients from SAP Office.

 The Workflow Administrator will be defined as the person who ran the auto-customizing.

 Automatic scheduling of two background jobs:

SWWDHEX – deadline monitoring job

SWWERRE – temporary error restart job

 The generic SAP user decision task is activated.

 PD control tables are checked for consistency.

 Note: The ‘no explicit number ranges’ item yellow squiggle line status never clears up. Just ignore!

 The Prefix Numbers for standard object types will not be maintained. This configuration should only be required on the development instances of SAP.

Hi Viji

Transaction SWU3: Verify Workflow Customizing. In this transaction the

most important basic customizing for workflow is checked. SWU3 transaction Is basically for Customization of workflow. It has following options:

Configure RFC Destination

Using this logical RFC destination WORKFLOW_LOCAL_xxx is created if it does not yet exist. The user WF-BATCH is assigned to this destination.

If you belong to the SUPER user group, and the WF-BATCH user does not exist, it is created and automatically gets the maximum authorization of the current user (SY-UNAME). The system user must have the authorization SAP_ALL if the workflow system is to function without problems.

Maintain Active Plan Version

This sets an active .If you carry out this activity automatically, 01 is set as the active plan version.

Classify Decision Task as General

The SAP task TS00008267 ("generic decision task") must be declared as a general task.

Document Generation/Form Integration

The SAP tasks for processing documents (TS70008298, TS71007944, TS71007945, TS71007946 and TS71007954) are declared as general tasks.

The SAP tasks for processing forms (TS70008112, TS70008113, TS70008114 and TS70008115) are also declared as general tasks.

Maintain Time Units

Maintain units of measurement and time that are used by the SAP System

Background Job Activities

1) Trx SWWA - This checks missed deadlines by specify a time interval at which the background job is called regularly.

2) Trx SWWD - Maintain Work Item Error Monitoring This monitors background work items that could not be executed initially because of a temporary error.

The background job for checking the conditions for the work item start and work item end is scheduled with the standard parameters.

3) Trx SWEQADM - Event Queue Administration. The background job for the event queue is scheduled with the standard parameters. If you execute the activity manually, you can schedule the background job with your own parameters.

4) This background job for clearing work in the workflow system deletes all job logs of the following background job:

SWWCOND Work item rule monitoring

SWWDHEX Work item deadline monitoring

SWWERRE Work item error monitoring

SWWCLEAR Clearing tasks in the workflow system

5) Specify a time interval in which the background job will be regularly called. The time interval used in automatic Customizing is usually three minutes. Each time it is executed, the background job checks whether new deadlines were met since the last run.

Maintain Workflow/Org.Mgmt Prefix Numbers

Trx OOW4 To guarantee unique identification, define a unique prefix number for workflow tasks, standard tasks, rules, task groups.

Check Number Ranges for workflow tasks (WF) and customer tasks (T).

Define web server

If you want to execute workflows that use WebFlow functions, you have to define a Web Server for the SAP System. For example, this is the case if the workflows to be executed contain a Web activity.

Customization of mails

Trx S016.If the workflow system is to send work items and mails to business objects and organizational objects (positions, organizational units, etc.) in the Business Workplace, the relevant functions must be activated.

IDoc

Starts the IDoc standard workflow tasks. The IDoc processing SAP workflows located in task group TG74500044 are declared as general and can be started by all the users.

Thnx
