Hello BW Experts,
If I need to transfer the query list eg:- If i have 100 reports generated and if i need 25 Reports /query headings ( to use it as a check list/reference for the clients) out of them in an excel sheet in my working PC.
Could u plz give the navigation steps for the same??
Thanks & Regards,
Sapster.
Hello Sapster,
Try to use metadata repository function of RSA1. You can get your list, just select the list copy and paste it to excel.

go to SE16 and give V_COMPDIR_COMPIC and press Enter..
in that give the infocube name or query name, version 'A', Definition type of an element 'REP' and give execute
select the required fields in the layout and export it to excel

Hello Prathibha...
Thanks for that informative answer..but a small clarification plzz!
After seeing all those technically read records and after selecting the required ones, how do we transfer them into the excel sheet(I dint find any of the options to do soo)
And
Being the clients, I wonder how could they actually understand those technically stuffed records (as I myself is not really aware of whats exactly is there in those records)
Could u plzz give me some ideas on this!!
Regards,
Sapster.
after giving execute, that is when the list is displayed,
go the settings->user parameters and select ALV Grid display under data browser tab
now, select change layout icor or Ctrl+F8, in that move unwanted columns under display columns to hidden colums and give OK.. green tick mark
now, select Spreadsheet icon or CtrlShiftF7.. this will take the data to excel...
hope it helps...
regards,
Pradhiba
