Customer Fields for Material Master Tables

Hi,

I'm thinking of using append structure for some of the material master table (e.g. MARA, MARC, MARD etc). However, my question is on whether those extra customer fields that I will be adding is possible to be used in the mass change transaction MM17 and also in customized match code search?

Hi,

I have tested and found that

For Match code search, yes you are able to include new customer fields. Need to create a new view and also index it.

However, for mass update MM17, unable to find the field. Anyone any idea whether is it possible to have customer fields, that was added to Material Master table (say MARA), used in MM17?

HI Sie,

No it is not possible , you can put this question to SAP or you can go to MM17 program and add the field
