If a material exists in a plant and the storage location, delivery will be created using that plant and storage location.
But some materials are not extended to that particular storage location. Still the system is creating using that storage location and creating pick tickets.
Is there anyway to stop creating deliveries if the material does not exists in that storage location? Giving error or sth.
I know we assign shipping pt, plant, storage cond to storage location. But if the material is not extended to that storage location.......why does it even create delivery?
How to stop availability check at storage loc level?
Hi,
in define scope of check you can define whether availability check is to be carried out at sloc level or at plant level.

Hi,
You can stop availability check at storage location level.
In Controlling of availability check screen Controlling:[OVZ9] (menu: Img-SD- BF- Availability check and TOR- Availability. check- ) you have a setting No Storage location Inspection.
Check it.

I did not understand how this can be helpful to me.
In our system, there is no check for 'No Stro.loc.inspectn'
My issue: Some materials are not extended to particular storage location for a plant. But still deliveries are getting created and pick tickets are getting generated.
System is not giving error even if that storage location is defaulted by configuration (assign picking location configuration).
Does this mean that once the configuration is done for picking location (storage loc), the system will default the storage loc even if the material is not extended to that storage location in material master data?
Please
Hi Sam,
If a material doesn't exist in a storage location, there is no way to choose that location to process picking for this material. I suspect an automatic creation of storage data is allowed
in configuration. Please check mm02 again to see if a first time GR for this material automatically created storage data.
