How to use "Define Rules for Time Item Product"?

Hello community,

How do the rules work that can be defined for time item product? Can I create a rule that e.g. every service order ticket should get automatically an item position with a predefined product (a service installation (product exists))? So that the editor just has to enter the time for the time completion confirmation in the ticket...

Kind regards,

Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Your understanding is true

If you maintain determination rules for time products based on time type in time recording. when creating time items out of these, the according time products should be determined automatically. when navigating to the service and repair tab there time items are assigned automatically based on the rule is setup to determine product based on the time item.

Suresh

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select and open the relevant implementation project.
  4. Click the Next button to get to Step 4 Questions.
  5. Expand the General Business Data > Employees and Service Agents scoping elements.
  6. Select the Employees element.
  7. Set the flag for the “Do you want to enable rule based product determination for a Ticket from Time Recording?” question.
  8. Save the changes.

Hi Suresh,

I defined the rule as you can see in the picture above. But the rule doesn't work. Do you have an idea why?

Deborah
