BI Launchpad error message : cannot connect to server

Hi

we are facing this message every now and then :

BI launch pad cannot connect to the server. Close the report [anel and try to connect again or see ypur BusinessObjects Administrator

it seems to happen while users are building a complex query (meaning taking long time to build) on the query editor of Webi (BI4.1 SP6)

Anyone facing this message ? is there a particular time out for the query editor ?

    a few minutes i would say

    all i know about the bi platform is installed on 2 tomcat7 and connecting to an oracle database

    There could be various timeouts at play. Enterprise session timeouts, web session timeouts etc...

    How long does it takes to get this message ?
    What is your deployment architecture looks like ?
