Hi Experts
Can any one clarify me -what is Difference B/W End to End Implementation and Full life Cycle Implementation in BI
Thanks in Advance
Omkar
hi..welcome to sdn...
SAP follows ASAP methodology to make the project implementation.
a)Project Preparation
b)Blue-print
c)Realization / Fit-gap analysis
d)Pre-producton
e)Go-live / Production
Generally in project preparation top management / PM will discuss with the client regarding the business integration n pros n cons of implementation.
Blue print contains all the functional specs related to the project.
Realization is the place where u actually implement and provide solutions , like activation of Business content objects etc.
Pre-production is the place where u will test the project .
Go-live means actual production and u will support the issues hereafter.
Normally u will involve in the realization phase .
this thread will be useful for u:
When u r working on the bw implementation depends upon u r experience task will be assigned to you.
Generally any sap implementation have same phases above what kalyan mention but it will vary from client to client.
Before going to u r task u need to understand the application(business process) of u r client according to that u need to configure or create or activate the objects.
once these objects completed in the development server u need to transport into quality server then u need to send into production server there u need to check whether objects r working according to u r client requirement.
Entire process will take some more time
Full Life Cycle - It has the scope, requirement analysis, coding/development, testing, go-live... Full life cycle of a project...
End-to-End Implementation - We will take an example that we want to implement the entire NetWeaver 2004s... From extraction to reporting to broadcasting etc.,
end to end impl:
1. AS IS process
2. To be process mapping
3. customizaiton in SAP + devepment
4. Unit testing
5. Full testing
6. End-user training
7. Go-live
8. Support for initial month-ends.
9. Ongoing support
full impl:
1 Project Preparation / Requirement Gathering
2 Business Blueprint
3 Realization
4 Final Preparation
5 GO Live & Support
Below steps are the the high level plan for the BW implementation
If it is End to End Implementation Project , You will be involved in all Phases
1. AS IS process - Study of the existing process.
2. To do process mapping - What will be the new process.
3. customizaiton in SAP & query development - Customizing the cubes and ODS,Reports
4. Unit testing - Testing of each and every module and reports
5. Full testing - Full system testing. In this step all steps are integrated so, it is also known as Integration testing.
6. End-user training - Training for the Power user (first line users) by the SAP Consultants. They will in turn train to other users.
7. Go-live
8. Support for initial month-ends. -
9. Post implementation support....
Full Life cycle
1.Project Prepararion
2. Blue Print
3. Project Preparation
4. Final Preparation
5. Go live & Support

Hi omkar nag,
Full life cycle is used in the context of full implementation,
related with,
Business Blue Print
Realization
Testing
Go live & Post go live support.
But in the case of End - End Implementation
can be related
to a particular business process.
Example,
Order to Cash as end to end cycle.
This will relates with
Creation of a Sales Order, Delivery, Billing and Customer Payment.
Thanks & Regards

Hello omkar,
basically they are both addressing the same thing: all activities regarding to implement a full BW solution. Starting from collecting user requirements and creating blueprint to end-user training and live system support.
End to End is a little bit technical point of view naming.
Full life cycle is more business approach naming.
Hope helps.
sarhan.
