Hello Johan,

You mean why when clicking on a tag and getting to a tag page so little questions come up?

Actually, the archive/legacy content of SCN isn't tagged so to get to it you would have to use search.

Please mark my question as correct if I answered your question.

Regards,

Moshe

The feedback and bug reports for SCN open Beta were migrated here (archive):

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/space/scn-beta

Previously we were expected to tag the discussions with #bug or #feedback.

Now, as the tag info is lost during the migration, a member of the SAP team will have to go through all these 559 items (hopefully all content was migrated successfully) and check them one by one, unless you were using a different system for bug-tracking (the pages listing feedback and bugs were not kept up-to-date).

I doubt that many will bother to search and post the same feedback, so that it can be easily found, which does not mean that the issues are resolved.

I really hope that this exercise (going through all archived discussions in SCN Open Beta) will help the SAP team realize how vital is to have a proper search functionality by tags for all site content.

Hi Veselina,

The beta feedback has been recapped here: http://go.sap.com/community/about/beta-feedback.html. New ideas should be posted in IdeaPlace, which you can also find a link to from that page.

Best,

Jamie

The inline search on the archive page: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/space/business-one does not return results just for SAP Business One, its is all results across all archives. This does not work. Even adding "SAP Business One" to the search brings up many many results from other SAP products. The archived questions need to be tagged just like any other question in the new community.

Has anyone heard is SAP are planning to fix this?

I think, they mentioned something about improving the site search (sorry, I can't remember in which blog this was mentioned, it is still too cumbersome to search in the new site content, if you don't know what exactly you are looking for). Until the improvement is available, you can try searching the archive by filtering by old SCN space name + search terms. Here you can see how it can be done: SAP Community navigation for nerdy people Part I: SAP Search.

I am shamelessly promoting my own content... 🙂

So do all open questions need to be asked again?

Hello,

No, people are expected to search prior to posting a new question.

Thanks,

Moshe

Obviously there were a lot of unanswered questions on SCN before the migration. Do these questions have to be asked again to get an answer, or can we answer to these question in the archive?

Also, the inline search stil doesn't bring up anything useful. What do you recommend to do until this is fixed?

They havent provided the facility to answer or leave a comment on all unasnwered previous questions....so I guess we need to post it again.

"All the previous discussions/questions will be found under "Archive" section....https://archive.sap.com/ check this link.."

So you are saying. you broke SCN. With full intention. Sorry, but this is all I see right now.

P.S I have to put this under "Answer" to the original question, because when I try to "Comment" the answer, I get the info that I have no permission.
