Cannot process message, no route from USERX to SID:XXX:USERY

When I look at a query in the web I (USERX) wanted to send it to a friend (USERY) to I pressed the "send" link and went to the "broadcasting wizard". When I got there I selected USERY using the "user find" functionality.

After I select this user I press Execute, but then I see an error on transaction SCOT. The err is: Cannot process message, no route from USERX to SID:XXX:USERY

The functionality is letting me define a userid, but it should be finding the email address of that user in the system (su01). SU01 is defined correctly and so is my mail setup. I followed the following setup procedure:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/af/73563c1e734f0fe10000000a114084/content.htm

Anyone know how I can fix this routing problem?

Mike

Hi,

This issue might occur either in development or in quality system sometimes nodes are not checked in these systems Just go to SCOT transaction expand the node SMTP and check the node "Node in Use" and it will work perfectly.

Thanks & Regards,

Just in case if someone wants solution for RML issue. I also got the same error. please provide the SID, clinet and username in su01 for the user. Under su01 -> communication -> 'other communication' - RML

Hi there,

I am having the same issue. I have checked scot as you have suggested and "node in use" is checked. I am trying to generate Email remittance advices via payment run and it works for one payment type, but not another. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Balakrishnan, The issue is still present,

I did check the "Node is Use" within SCOT --> INT --> SMTP --> General Info dialog screen.

I realise this thread is old but just in case others come across it as I did looking for a resolution, what I found I also needed to do besides what's already mentioned above is that in the dialog box that pops up when you double-click on SMTP, make sure to tick Internet, click the "Set" button and enter an asterisk "*" in the field. This will ensure that all addresses will match this filter and be sent via Internet and therefore use the SMTP node.

Thanks,

Thanks John!

it worked for me.

Just to add bit more detail to John's comment:

" click the "Set" button and enter an asterisk "*" in the Address area field. "

Cheers!

Fixed it myself.

I found that on transaction scot that i did not have an RML node created. After I configured that node it worked like a champ!!

Hi Michael,

I am also getting same error message, I will appreciate if you can let me know the steps, like what needs to be put at RML when you add a Node.

Thanks!

Hi thiru,

Go to SCOT, in that expand INT and double click on SMTP, a new window popup. Under General Information ensure that there is a check mark next to "Node in use".

Do let me know if you are still facing the issue.

Balakrishnan
