Hello,
The documentation on partner determination user exits says that customer function 003 will be invoked if the table of origin contains 'XYZ'. Where is the table of origin configured in the partner determination?
Thanks.
Maggie
Dear Maggie
When you click in VOPA partner procedure there is one column <b>Source</b>
<b>Example</b>
If you enter WE (ship-to party) in this field for the function VE (sales employee), when you create the sales document, it determines the sold-to party from the VE partner function in the ship-to party's master document.
After that A,B,C,D column is there for origin table where you will find that XYZ all three are used for <b>User Exits</b>,
if you are using User Exits then only use it otherwise change the Table of Origin to something like A or B or C or D
Please refer table TPAER-Business Partner: Functions in Partner Determination Procedure in SE16
you can see the F1 help of table of origin for further explanation

Thank you for the answer, Jitesh.
Do you know if the user-exits are only invoked at header level determinations? The source/origin fields are not available in the item determination.
I reviewed the help for this field and it does not describe the user-exits.
Thanks.

Dear Maggie
You are right Source partner function is only available in case of Sales Header, so user Exit will be available only in case of Sales Header
but if read the help
Source partner function
Partner function which serves as an alternative source for determining the sold-to party.
Procedure
If you don't want the system to propose a partner from the sold-to party master record, enter another partner function here. The system will then propose the sold-to party from the master record of your partner function.
Thus if you remember when you enter Ship-to-party, it will determine automatically the Sold-to-party
This function is for finding that source.

Jitesh
