In Adapter development ,refer the link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/cb/f4bc3d42f46c33e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm

In the procedure for obtaining a connection it says

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Procedure

Obtaining a Connection

To look up a ConnectionFactory, include the following code in the source of the <u>application component</u>

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Is it the same application component as in the link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/bc/e1a340fa432b54e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

if yes then where i have to insert the code , i.e where is that source about which it is talking?

Hi

Java Support Packages are deployed with the SDM.

The SDM has already been installed in your system during the installation of SAP Web AS Java.

The archive format of a Java Support Package is the Software Component Archive (SCA). An SCA file can contain one or more Software Deployment Archives (SDA).

**For updating XI ADAPTER Framework, SCA's using SDM tool is deployed

Thanks,

Hi,

<<<<<<< SCA Import <<<<<<<

As far as i have heard.. SCA is a type of file that can be imported in order to deploy it in SDM.. Contain your class files etc.

Thanks
