Reversing Movement Type 344

Hi, Our's is HU Managed Warehouse and someone tried to block Material ABC which is in a Bin and storage type XXX through MIGO 344 movement type. Delivery is created when MIGO happened and also a TO is created(manually) and confirmed. I am trying to reverse this but couldn't find a way to do it. Please help.

Hello Murali,

I demystified the logic of transfer Posting in a HU managed storage location. In my case, there was configuration in background which was conducting TO confirmation and PGI in background. For WM movement type 309, which was assigned to reference movement type 344, with TO creation, 2 business transaction happened.

1)TO confirmation(LT12)

2) and PGI(VL02N) happened in background for HTP delivery type and IM posting triggered from.

PGI is posted automatically when the transfer order is confirmed under setting in Customizing under: Logistics Execution-->Warehouse Management-->Interfaces-->Shipping Define Shipping Control--> Activity-->Define Shipping Control at the Movement Type Level. In my system the movement type 309 is set (Set the field Copy WM quantity to the value 2 ( Copy WM quantity as delivery quantity and post GR/GI ).

Hence, when you execute a posting change for the storage bin stock in a {HU+WM} managed storage location, below is the WM HU IM mehanics.

1) MIGO---344--- system creates an outbound delivery with delivery type HTP which is called Posting change delivery.

2) 344 IM movement type is assigned to 309 Mvt type, and Transfer Order is automatically created. + and - Quants are generated in 922 interim storage type with stock category S.

3) TO confirmation(LT12)--- Positive and negative quants were deleted from 922 interim storage type.

4) Post PGI VL02N which will trigger IM posting , stock will move from Unrestricted to Block.

so the process is MIGO(344)---LT03----(LT12)---PGI.. ?

I tested MIGO( Created outbound delivery with HTP delivery ty)--LT03---LT12.. stock moved to blocked.. I don't know how it worked in your case.

Issue is fixed, Delivery was not PGI'ed. I have done the PGI for Delivery which moved stock from Unrestricted to Blocked and then reversed it through MIGO 343, TO and PGI.

343 for reversal. Migo--343---. Post. Outbound delivery generated. LT03---LT12--stock returned to unrestricted.

Hi Shailesh,

I can't do MIGO 343 as it is erroring out with "Deficit of BA Blocked 63.000 EA : MAT1 PLANT1 SLOC1 BATCH1". I am not sure if I am doing anything different. I keyed Plant, Material, Storage Location and Batch. I am using same storage location in both Source and Destination as I have used the same value for 344 as well. Appreciate your help.

In ls24, it seems you have not confirmed the TO which is created by LT03 against the outbound posting change delivery. Please conduct LT12 first. N then try doing 343 with Migo.

what is so difficult to understand the message?

The message talks about blocked stock, and where do you have blocked stock in your screenshot?

All your stock is in unrestricted use, hence the message is very right.

Show a screenshot from MB51 that can explain what happened after your 344 movement.

However, If you hide the number for plant and batch, then you cannot expect a diligent answer from strangers, answers can only be made under the assumption that the hidden values are somehow the values that you expect, but actually I have to doubt about that since you could not even understand this the error message.

Hi Jurgen,

I understand what is the message and didn't understand how to correct it. Hence I am requesting help if I know everything then I don't have to come here. I don't think Plant and Batch are that important here and if you follow Shailesh's posts he also didn't have stock moved to Block after 344 movement type but he could able to reverse it through 343.

If you want help from experts because you have trouble, then you have to accepts what the experts request , the experts know why they ask for something. Those values are extremely important. You would not be the first who typed ooooh instead of zero, or had a mixed the sequence of numbers. A little bit of trouble shooting should be possible. You can hide names and descriptions, this makes sense, but hiding keyfields that are required for troubleshooting is just nonsense.

You missed to process your posting change notice in WM, with LU04, and after that you will as well not have any blocked stock in WM.

So the question is what happened after your people tried to block, or did they just try and did not even save it?

For the beginning is nothing to correct, it is just thinking and to understand the current situation. What makes you think you would need to post blocked stock to unrestricted if you have not even blocked stock?

I have attached the screenshot of the reply from one of the experts which is the same as my issue so I am asking him how did he fix it and asking his help. He also doesn't specify about extra steps of LU04, etc. FYI...I have checked LU04 which was found in another thread and there are no open posting changes.

So I request you to please go through the thread before commenting something.

I replicated issue in my system. It worked perfectly without any error. Here is my take away.

1) With MIGO, transfer posting, mvt type 344, material is moved to blocked stock. Outbound delivery is generated with delivery type HTP( Transfer posting delivery). But when you see MMBE at this moment, stock is still placed in Unrestricted stock.)

2) Created TO with LT03, confirm the TO( Storage Unit) moved to same bin( Movement type 344 must have tick Post to same bin). (Material moved to 922 with stock category S)

And I reversed the whole process in same way. It happened successfully

Please check your storage location which you putting..

Thanks for trying it in your system. You are right points 1 and 2, I could able to replicate in my QA system but the reverse I am not. I have done the 344 movement from Storage location 1000 to 1000 and I am using same storage location for 343. Did you use some other movement type? I got the message "Deficit of BA Blocked 63.000 EA : MAT1 PLANT1 SLOC1 BATCH1". Could you please give me the reverse process with detail steps? I will try to do it in my QA as well.

Hello,

Since you are in HU managed storage location, things gets complicated.

SAP says below line:

-->A posting change delivery is created for posting-change movement types 344 (changing stock status from unrestricted-use to Block). Then, a transfer order is created for this posting-change delivery. Inventory management is changed accordingly when goods issue is posted for this posting-change delivery.

Lets wait for experts advice how to correct this. I am not sure about this

please share screen shot of LS26. Confirmed TO can be revered reversed with LT0G. However, LT0G checks availability of Quants. But, since this is HU managed location, LT0G will fail here. Please share error screen shot also.

Please explain how you tried to reverse it, what movement type you used and what "could not find a way" means in particular. Does it mean you got an error? or you could not find a movement type in the F4 list?

I tried to reverse it through 343 movement type but the error said Deficit of Quantity. 344 was done with 63 EA and I tried to do 343 with the same quantity then I got this error. Please let me know if more details are required.

I asked for the exact error message AND a screenshot.

Any single character of this message is important and the variables have to match with the data in the system.

This is not the exact error message and cannot be used to match with a screenshot and to validate this error.

I am actually close to reject this question as this kind of message has been discussed countless times before.
