Setting up KE30 PA Report Batch Jobs

Former Member

Hello Experts!

We are have some PA reports we want to set up as batch jobs to run on a weekly basis. We have them set up so that they will print the data of the current period/year (i.e. "8/2007 - 8/2007". We have set up variants in the KE30 reports, and used them to create the weekly batch job. However, my concern is that they will not automatically change over to the current month. For example, 7/2007 just passed, and the date still remained as 7/2007 in the variant. How can we get the variant to automatically populate with the current period/year? It should have changed to "8/2007" when it changed to August, but instead it just remained as "7/2007".

Any assistance with be greatly appreciated and points. Thank you for your time!

You need to maintain a variable for period/year in table TVARV through SE16.

While saving the variant, check the selection variable checkbox. Then click on Selection variable icon. Against the period, you can call the variable you maintained.

This makes sense if you have a large number of reports that calls for this variant.

Else we can maintain in the variant itself.
