Hi,
I installed NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1. Its completed with some warnings. Later I started the CE instance. Everything is in running state except the jstart.EXE.. The Developer trace is showing the cannot connect to message server.. instance state is "Initial"
Even I tried to start application server there also I am getting same problem jstart.EXE J2EE Server not running. How can I start the Java instance.??
Thanks&Regards,
Shabeer

Thank you for the good suggestions Gabriel!
In my case the database was not started. I installed MaxDb Database Tool and started it. Then everything worked fine.
For me the problem is solved.
Thanks again,
Manuel

Have you installed NetWeaver on an english version of Windows. If not read this thread to avoid warnings:
Is your DB Service running? The service is called something like MAXDB: CE1. By default it must be startet manually after a system restart.
Otherwise you could find some more information about the problem in the following folder (default installation):
C:\usr\sap\CE1\J01\j2ee\cluster\server0\log
